Scio Main Fire Station

The Scio Rural Fire District’s new Main Fire Station includes Linn County Sheriffs offices, staff dormitories, training facilities and a large gathering space for community events. This 22,000 square foot fire station is comprised of a 12,000 square foot pre-engineered steel building for the apparatus bay and a 10,000 square foot two story wood frame administration building. Exterior finishes feature masonry walls and hose tower, lap and architectural metal siding & soffit systems with panelized wainscoting, standing seam roof and extensive concrete patios and walks. Of special note is the high level of mechanical and electrical design and the outstanding craftsmanship exhibited by the MEP installation professionals that complements the institutional grade fixtures, doors and hardware. Additionally, structural improvements and overlays to adjacent streets with new sidewalks, approaches and utilities infrastructure were constructed concurrently with building site work that includes storm water detention and oil water separator systems.
